Managing Data in Excel

Microsoft Excel is a spreadsheet program that allows you carry out numerical calculations and organize your data in an orderly manner.

In this class we shall be looking at the Basics of Excel; Understanding the Excel GUI, working with the Ribbon and tools, creating a new spreadsheet and exiting excel.

Basic Formulas and Functions

In Excel, a worksheet is single page spreadsheet or page, where you can write, edit and manipulate data, whereas the collection of such worksheets is referred as a workbook. It is very similar to a single page (worksheet) and a complete book (workbook).
